Zain's WE 2030 Strategy


Established in 2017 under the vision of Vice Chairman and Group CEO Bader Al-Kharafi, Zain's Women Empowerment initiative reflects the Group's strategic commitment to fostering gender inclusion and leadership diversity. With a focus on enhancing representation across leadership, middle management, and overall workforce composition, the initiative aspires to embed innovation and inclusivity as foundational elements, making women empowerment not an obligation, but a standard practice within Zain's corporate culture.

Our Programs

NOVA Program

To further drive meaningful representation in technical fields, Zain introduced NOVA, a two-year program designed to empower women in technical divisions/roles. NOVA moves beyond conventional training by offering a holistic development experience grounded in mindset and behavioral transformation, community building, and coaching. The program encourages collaboration, fosters confidence and self-awareness, and equips participants with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

WE SUCCEED Program

In 2025, Zain is relaunching the WE SUCCEED program to unlock role expansion opportunities for 50 women in middle management to contribute to the leadership targets of 2030. Built on extensive research in Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, the program identifies successors from across Zain's footprint to undergo a 3 year succession management program. All WE SUCCEED participants are selected and undergo their three years journey with the involvement of their operations CEO.

Together, NOVA and WE SUCCEED exemplify Zain's long-term commitment to gender equity and talent development.
